At 61 years of age, Brooklyn Soul King, Charles Bradley had never left the United States. He’d never dreamt his music would ever take him anywhere across the oceans, let alone a land as far off and as unknown as Australia.

On this new and exciting journey, Charles was accompanied in September 2009 by a posse of extraordinarily talented musicians from such groups as Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, The Budos Band, Lee Fields & The Expressions, El Michels Affair and Antibalas. 

I was privileged enough to travel with Charles and the Menahan Street Band on their first ever Australian tour. From the streets of Melbourne, to a small desert town called Hyden in Western Australia, I was able to capture the wonderous journey of Mr Charles Bradley and the Menahan Street Band.

The 96 page, full colour book of Charles Bradley and The Menahan Street Band on Tour in Australia was a limited edition released in May 2011.
